M front sway bar size?
just an idea, if M front sway bar fits the non-M, then handling would greatly improve over stock.
any idea if they are bigger than non-M and if they are interchangeable? Thanks

Dunno for sure. But I doubt it. The suspensions are completely different. Check out the different specs on realoem.com

H&R offers adjustable sway bars. have them in my z4 and they are great. They are thicker than the sway bars from M Package and the lenght of the lever is adjustable.

I have the Hotchkis (H-Sport) on mine. Ordered from bavauto.com. They are probably the thickest sway bars you can buy for our cars. 28.5mm front, 24mm rear. If I'm not mistaken, the factory 2.5i sway bars are 21mm/18mm, so that is a substantial difference.
As far as handling goes, my car feels like a completely different machine. It literally feels like you are on rails. Worth every penny. Not sure of the ///M sway bar. I would guess that it would be an expensive part, and not worth the money. And I am guessing the 3.0 bar is basically the same diameter as the 2.5, if not within a few mm. Go aftermarket.

such a complete kit bavauto offers on their kits..including new end links!
but $400... the bar holds the body to the suspension via end links... the thicker bar will be less likely to "twist" keeping the body of the car parallel to the ground...i guess an easy way to put it lol
