Spark Plug +ignition Coil Question 2018 m550xi
Hello,
I'm helping a my brother in law out with his 2018 BMW m550xi. Their is a small stutter at WOT in but no check engine light. I believe it is the spark plugs. But we have opted to go ahead and change the spark plugs and coils for peace of mind. What spark plugs are recommended for the n63tu2? NGK 97506 or Bosch 8167? I'm getting alot of mixed information and its confusing me alittle. Some are suggesting f10 m5 spark plugs. OEM part # 12120047946 Which is the bosch Bosch ZR-5-TPP-3320 In regards to the ignition coils, I have had great success with ELDOR coils and wanted to stick to that. Any info or guidance will be good before I swap everything. Id like to purchase it all through FCP for the lifetime warranty but Need guidance. Thanks in advance. |

Just to give everyone a heads up.
I went with the ngk 97506 Plugs and eldor coils. But I found out the eldor coils do NOT work on the newer g series. They were always the go to for the previous generation ignition coils. Ended up purchasing New Delphi Coils |

I'm about to undergo a similar project on my G30 540i and figured I would throw a couple helpful links in this relevant thread for others.
I used https://bmwsparkplugs.com to identify the parts I needed. It pointed out the OEM parts for the engine. Then, like you, I found them in stock at FCP. Hope the Delphi coils work out for you. I'm debating between the Eldor and the Bosch. |
