Sweet Baby Jesus! The time is almost here.



However... I made one huge mistake.. maybe. I made the mistake of randomly looking at the dealer's cars on the lot. It turns out there is a Black Sapphire Metallic M5C on their lot.. with red calipers... black interior... rut roh. Basically the config of my M550i but as the M5C. In the event this isn't a customer car (special order) that's already spoken for... there is a _small_ chance I could talk myself into an 11th hour change. Either way I am coming home with a car tomorrow and I will be happy! Will post back tomorrow afternoon/evening I hope!!

My CA is off today and timing is a bit busted for my to get to the dealership today anyway.. so tomorrow is the long awaited day!

Ladies and gentleman.. the day and time has finally come. After an extremely long process.. finally.. on January 22, 2021 I have my car. I was not swayed by the nearly identical looking Black Sapphire M5C they had. Namely I was very satisfied with what I ordered and there was virtual no discounts being applied on the M5C. Decided I was not going to talk myself into pay 27-28k more out the door. I decided against test driving the M5C but I did take a quick sit in it. It is very nice but I figured test driving would be a waste of time or worst case would instill regret. Also I don't have time for any of this!

Without further adieu.. I have happily joined the M550i club! I know some people think black exterior and interior are boring but it's exactly what I wanted to get and I love it. With the extended shadowlne trim and the forthcoming window tint + reflector delete.. it's going to be perfect. We'll see how the CF roundels and center caps look on the car soon enough too. I haven't had a lot of time driving it (~20 miles highway + some local roads) but it seems absolutely awesome so far!

Looks incredible! Then roundels are a little annoying to get off, be persistent. I had tint done today, shopping around for resonator delete. Ceramic coating Monday.

Nice! I was going to spend some time tomorrow dicking with the center caps. Having PPF, ceramic coating, and tint done soon (was supposed to be this week but has to cancel for obvious reasons) and figured I'd just get them to stick it all on since they take them off anyway. Car definitely feels naked without tint. Can't wait to get that done.

Thanks!! I am very happy and no doubts/regrets. If they had thrown a bone i might have done it. But with all the lack of incentives and discounts it would have just been more than I wanted to spend by quite a lot. So easy decision! I did park it next to the M5C when I went to take a look for a quick compare. Both are beautiful cars.
