2021 BMW M550i Bluestone Metallic Tracking...Impatiently

Good evening, everyone!

I ordered my dream car one year earlier than my goal on my 39th birthday, February 3rd. It only seemed fitting as my first BMW ever was 1 year before my goal, same as my house. I always wanted a V8 5 series and now I find myself spamming the Genius folks with calls (once a day) and the tracking site (multiple times a day)...oh man I will always be a child!

Just wanted to chime in and say hello! I used to be active on e90post so it's nice to be back to the BMW forums. It's been a while but it's good to be back.

Details!

Exterior:
Design: Shadowline Trim
Color: Bluestone Metallic (the website picture is not even close)
Wheels: 19" M Y-spoke bi-color jet black wheels, style 845M with performance-season run-flat tires
Brakes: M Sport Brakes with Blue Calipers

Interior:
Leather: Mocha Nappa Leather with contrast stitching
Trim: Aluminum Rhombicle Smoke Grey

Packages:
Executive Package (mostly for the ceramic controls)

Options:
Front ventilated seats

Price:
MSRP As Built: 81,000
Destination & Handling: $995
Total Price (MSRP): $81,995

Timeline (Updating):
(2021)
January 28th: Allocation Unit Used by dealer.
February 3rd: Order placed at dealer with my specs (birthday present!).
February 7: Order received status on build site.
February 17: Scheduled for production (this felt like forever).
February 20-present: STILL SCHEDULED FOR PRODCUTION! LOL

Genius says Week 11 is my estimated production week.
Dealer says March 2nd is my production date (really hoping he is right hahaha)

Nice spec! I love the Mocha Nappa. I see too many M550i's with Black Nappa. My birthday is February 4 so we are pretty close! I feel like the executive package is not worth as much as they are charging. If you want it for the ceramic controls, I would definitely swap that for the premium package, and just get aftermarket ceramic controls. Would be much cheaper.

Thanks! Yeah mocha is boss! My E90 had the Terra interior. I wanted something different again.

Ps, love your spec too! Pps, thanks for making your post so clean. Used it as a template for mine. Haha

Hah nice happy birthday. I will turn 38 later this year myself. I ordered by car in October last year and got it last month. I have a feeling it will also count as my birthday present.. we'll see! 😂

Oh nice! Mind posting a pic? Never saw the combo in real life haha. Only separately.

Thanks for the kind words!

Sorry—just saw your reply. Here you go. Don’t really have any of the interior.

The salesperson I was talking to said that each dealership could only order 5 M/M performance cars each yearly quarter. I'm unsure if that is per M model or for all M models combined. This most likely means that your car will go into production Q2. They do not have an allocation for your car.

My dealer said week 11 so did the Genius folks. I am just being impatient. I am sure it will start up Monday. They did screw one thing up and I am glad I caught it early on. I think that change probably moved me down in the queue. They are using the allocation unit from Jan 28th.

Monday? That's the day my car gets unloaded from the ship! Hoping to take delivery sometime next week!

Hell yeah! That's awesome! Well I'll be in touch then if any update occurs. Dealer told me mine is the only m550 coming in for a while, so I'm hopeful.
