+1 on the HUD. I really like it. I do hope that we get some of the Apple CarPlay stuff included on it in a future update, but either way, it's still great.

I was really excited about the 545e, but there are no plans for a touring yet.

I’m a bit worried that the boot will be super small on the 530. I may regret not going for a Touring.....

The effect on the boot is to raise the floor. The other dimensions should be identical. But the floor will be level with the entrance into the boot.

I can live with that, if I can fit two normal suitcases in there. Can put a carry on in the rear footwell.

I just got out of a 530e, so your trunk will be flush with the sides. My 2018 had this folding cover/door thing that could either use to make it completely flush, or lower it and you'd have slightly more room (for a step down look).

I honestly had it in the step down configuration 100% of the time. I actually forgot about being able to make it flush until I was turning the vehicle in and I was going through all the compartments taking out crap...

Congrats! Just took delivery of my 530e, I think you will love it. Great choice on the ash trunkwood trim, it looks really good in person. Adaptive suspension is no longer available for the 530e for the US market as of 2021, and even with M Sport the 530e still gets standard suspension, so that is what I have. It's a good balance of comfort without being floaty, still has a well damped firmness to it but I don't notice it much which is good. I'm on 19" staggered Bridgestone Turanza T005 RFTs for reference.

I couldn't agree more. I have a 2018 530e with the HUD. I didn't care about this option in particular, but I bought the car with this option because it was the closest thing they had in inventory to what I was looking for. I LOVE IT. Now it is a must have for me.

And I collected my car yesterday.

Forgot to take pics at the dealer, it was all very rushed due to Covid precautions. So a few pictures, but the car is dirty after the drive home, and it’s been a cold, wet day so no chance to wash it.

I love it, it’s a big comfy cruiser, and the build quality is superb.I’m really happy with the colour also. The tech is massive, and I’m glad I went with the HUD. Mrs L finds it distracting, but she sees the benefit of it for navigating.

Battery seems to only be giving 30km of pure electric, but that’s in this really cold weather, with heat, seats and wipers on.

I haven’t driven it in anger yet, and with the 5k distance restriction here for the next few weeks, seems it will be a while till I do.

Overall, very happy though. Had a last minute thought that I should have went for the 545e though, but I think the 530e should be more than adequate at the same time.

Really glad you like it and are pleased with the spec.

Ours is our first car with a HUD, but I can’t imagine being without it now. My wife thinks she will find it distracting too, but with all the restrictions she hasn’t got round to driving it yet!

These are strange times, aren’t they? Our car has only moved once in the last couple of weeks.

The 545e looks like a fantastic machine, but I’m sure you’ll be satisfied with the 530e. I’ve not heard a bad word about them.
