No matter what anyone tells you on this forum, you won't be satisfied.
You bought the car and enjoy it. That's what matters. Bet this car was almost 80k new, every single option. In my opinion you got a good deal based on your market. |

There are too many people with too many opinions, more/less money in their wallet and different tastes.
If it makes you smile, enjoy it. If you like the way it drives, go cruise in it. If you turn back and admire it each time you park it. You've bought the right car. With that being said. Shoulda gone V8 🤣. I'd say you did good. That's a ton of options. Now post some pictures!

If it is in good condition then that is a good deal. I would have bought my 2017 off lease if they would have negotiated anything close to that price.

Thank you, everyone. I get a grin everytime I drive it and always look back at it when I park. I think the condition is the equalizer as I need to get it ceramic coated (paint corrected) and the Ivory seatbelts and a couple spots on the driver seat need cleaning. Definitely put my mind at ease!

I must have Buyers Remorse too! I bought a CPO 2017 540i with the following packages:
carbon black metallic Mocha Napa leather interior Executive package Driver Assistance Plus and Pro Massage and Ventilated Seats Soft close doors Adaptive headlights M sport package Cold weather package Premium package Harmon Kardon 19 inch 664M all season! I wanted all square setup One owner lease return 28000 miles! I paid $43K in the DC metro area. I would say be grateful you got such a good deal! I don't have Bower Wilkins or gesture control or even ceramic controls! I think I should have buyers remorse. They did give me $20,000 on a 3 year old Camry with 29000 miles so I couldn't complain! I will just pay it off and drive it to the ground in a few years! |

I am Rodders and I have been BMW owner for three weeks. Pleased and panicked.
Great post. We probably need to start a BMW Anxiety thread. 😂. I am in the canoe... my head was swimming during purchase and when opting for warranty I got the 72mo warranty for my CPO 2018. Well, the program I bought,,, only added One year to my warranty period. 72 months ends in 2023 and my dealer CPO was good to 5/2022. I feel like a chump. I can literally buy 5 yr full bumper coverage with Roadside/Rental etc (gain 4 years past current CPO) for $1,000 more than what I paid. When I look at the CPO WRAP which was 72 mo (plus one yr) $3800 or 84 mo (plus two yr) $5,600. It looks like I am actually paying for the Freebie CPO year based on cost. One year = 3800 incremental add is 1,800. Now I feel ‘stoopid’ The car...M550... well it’s great. The value of car buy itself, is better than I have ever experienced. As a noobie Bimmer driver.... I just want warranty that everyone says I need. 😬 |

A good portion of plans can be refunded. I, for example, bought Ultimate Care+2 without realizing it only added 1 actual additional year of maintenance. For the cost it really made me feel foolish, but I was able to cancel the plan and get a full refund. I'm in the process now of taking that money and buying a comprehensive aftermarket warranty. Much better value and I feel much much better about the overall deal.

My Original Manufacturer Warranty ends April this year not due to mileage (still at 23000 miles) but age. I have been thinking about aftermarket warranty but i hear only bad things about them. Don't know what to do. Any ideas? |

Regarding programs. I called my local shop, they work with several and didn’t have preferred provider but did say they we good idea. I called BMW reseller and he offered program similar to new car warranty coverage coupled with rental and road hazard via company called “Portfolio” that look competitive. Cheers |

The flip side is, if a catastrophic issue arises, it can be very, very expensive. So really, it's all up to how risk-adverse you are. As to where to buy one, I'd start with your BMW dealer and see what they can offer you. And yes, I too have read horror stories about warranties failing to pay, companies going bankrupt, etc. So there's still some risk. As for the OP: you did OK. Stop worrying about something you can't change.

Let sleeping dogs lie.
If you want to do price due diligence always do that before the deal is consummated. Otherwise, you'll always find room for pain. The car will be cheaper next year or maybe there was some incentive you didn't catch or maybe someone else found that unicorn deal that got them out the door like a bandit or the guy over yonder got the same deal as you with nicer options to sweeten the pot. No matter what the outcome is you can't change the reality now. Car deals are very time and circumstance dependent when it comes to getting the best possible deal so even if you get that on this car you might not on the next and etc... Research hard and negotiate well. Then be happy with where you decide the best deal is for you. I thought I did pretty well on my ordered G30, but I'm sure there are many here who can point out how they managed to score a better deal by finding that desperate SA who was 1 car away from being on the chopping block at 5 minutes to closing on the last day of the month so they walked away like a bandit. Enjoy her in good health |

Glad it was useful and you could get your situation where you are happy and feel good. The relief when the refund went through for me was immense- I'm extremely happy with my purchase now. I'm sure you are, too. Enjoy the 550!
