My next scheduled service is due in 2000 miles on my Leased 2019 540IX.

Last service almost 8,000 miles ago the dealer told me I needed my injectors cleaned. I have the full service package so said go ahead its covered. They said this is not covered.

I declined the service-car ran great and still does.

I am thinking about running a bottle of Techron through the car at the next fill up.

Any comments or criticism? Good , bad or neither?

Tough One. I'd say go for it. I have a 2020 530e and mine clogged, engine was misfiring and stalling around 21,000 miles. Dealer replaced them under warranty

I have been using Techron Complete fuel system cleaner for a long time, never had to have my fuel injectors cleaned out.
I usually use it twice, running the car until almost empty, then pour another bottle before fueling up.

Don't waste your money. I also suggest you find another dealer who doesn't try to sell crap to their customers. If switching dealers isn't an option, let this dealer know you're not a sucker and won't be fooled by their attempts to extract $ from your wallet.

Only do what BMW includes on their maintenance list.
