OEM FACTORY supplied 2nd key fob not opening

The original oem key fob supplied by the factory at time of the vehicle being shipped does not work. I changed the battery and that didn't help. The mechanical key works fine opening the door. And, it will start the car by holding at the steering column. But none of the features work such as unlocking or locking the door. How can I program this propwrly?

Are you under warranty? Just get them to swap it.

Luckily you’re in CA. So you can replace a lost key for a much much cheaper price than we can here in other states. I think it is $250 or so compared to the $800+ in other states.

I’d go that route.

I get it that the key isn’t lost, but that would probably be a cheaper way to get them to code the key properly without incurring heavy prices.
