M550 running flex fuel?
BM3 posted about a kit back in April, I’ve heard nothing since. I’m waiting for a reply from the freaks and thought I’d check here to see if anyone has heard anything.

We will get what we get when we get it. I'm not holding my breath. So far the N63 platform has been an afterthought for PTF and other tuners. For me, this is a must-have for running ethanol due to the variability in E85 fuel.

I assumed exactly that but then why throw out the Almost Ready thread in April?
I had a few emails with PTF and the response was not available for your vehicle at this time. I replied stating I’d pay for the hardware/software and provide the test vehicle. No reply. Paid $900 for the stage 1 tune and no moving forward beyond stage 2. Annoying. |

You have an OTS stage 1, I'm assuming that's a 93 octane tune. If you put catless downpipes on your car, they have a stage 2 E30 tune you can download for free. Not sure why you'd want to flex fuel kit except to be able to monitor your ethanol content if you're running stage 2. You can just get a flex fuel kit/ethanol analyzer and have it installed: https://fuel-it.com/products/fuel-it...-16-fuel-lines |

No moving on means stage 2 E30 is basically the limit relative to safety for the 2019 N63. I’d feel better about a tune which is based on the actual ethanol content rather than a static map for exact E content.
I’m more annoyed with the “almost ready” thread PTF started and abondoned. Why bother posting if there was no plan to see it through? I’m considering a new M4 or an extremely low mileage M8 Comp though the M8 doesn’t have the same power potential as the M4. |
