135i SSTT Dyno on Mustang Dyno

Thanks to Speed Industry for their great service. I recommend them to anyone in the MI area. (248)458-1335

Thanks to Clayton (FreeBMW), John, and Jason for all the work done.

MODS done today:

Golf Tee
CDV (THIS IS A MUST)
9500i install
SSTT

The SSTT needs to have the air box removed to get access. This takes about 15 minutes and is very easy to do. You will need to unplug the battery to reset the ECU. The car will get progressively faster as it goes.

You will feel the difference in the power of the SSTT. It is plug-n-play and is a mild tune. It is worth the money as long as you a very nice increase in power, no CEL issues, and quick install/remove.

RESULTS (Mustang Dyno with no correction, factor 500 miles)

*PLEASE remember that Mustang dynos do not dyno like Dyna Pak/Dyno Jet dynos. The numbers would be higher on these dynos. These aren't corrected.

BASE LINE
262 hp
274 tq

SSTT
284 hp
323 tq

Graphs are mirror images just moved up in power. You could eat off the torque curve it is that flat. The A/F was under 12 and the boost never went above 11.5 psi. The mod does exactly what it claims to do.

Those are great gains. I just installed my SSTT last week and at first I didnt feel it 100% but now after the ECU learned I love it. The best $500 I have spent on this car. Enjoy.

Agreed. Until I disconnected the battery, I really didn't feel the difference.

nice work. what octane and how long did it adapt before you went on the dyno.

your gains look nice, SSTT seems like a popular mod for 135i owners.

So, is the underhood of 135 smaller/different than of 335? 'cause you don't need to remove air box in 335 to install SSTT.

Yes/No

The engine / air box is the same, the sensor is located in a different location (under air box). Whether this is because of size of car...I don't know.

I am almost shocked that they stuffed this engine in that engine bay. There is no room at all on the driver side. Installing the SSTT is more time intensive then the other two cars. But still not hard,

What is CDV?

You show a 22 increase in HP with the SSTT. Based on the dyno run that I recently did, along with HoustonT, I would have expected more.

The TQ increase looks on par.

Clutch Delay Valve

Dyno's/conditions differ from location to location so do the numbers.

yea on a dynojet, with proper adpating of the SSTT on 93 octane i made about 50WHP. i think on par what you and houston got aswell.

but this isnt a dynojet, and im not sure if the OP fully adapted to the SSTT before he hit the dyno... btw what octane was this, i guess i missed it or forgot.

taking the arbox off the 135i to do the install is the best and easiest way. isnt very hard anyways.

anyways cant compare dynos or gains to other dynos and there gains. in anyway.

93 and about 2 hrs. after install. I have no doubt that it's making more power than when I did the pulls.

The hp/tq figures are nice to know, but the A/F & Boost numbers is what I was really interested in.

If I wanted a HUGE dyno number I would have had the shop put in a correction factor to give me a number. The curves are identical to all the SSTT curves I've seen.

you should have more hp increase than that!! Hopefully it will improve for you as the car adapts.

I'm guess there are a few posters on here that don't understand the difference in dyno types and how they will read different. I'm also guessing that dyno to dyno and correction factors aren't really understood as well.

I read the entire thread..typical sstt..they claim 55 horsepower, and almost everyone dyno's 20-30 whp. Theres plenty of dynos on here supporting that so how about you keep your mouth shut?
