Upgraded from F10 535i to G30 M550i!

Just pulled the trigger. I swapped out my trusty 2016 F10 535i with 95k miles for a 2018 G30 M550i with 30k miles. I plan on keeping this one for a while. Alpine White, Black Full Leather interior, tons of options. MSRP was almost $90k. Looking to do maybe springs to lower it a tad bit, and tint the windows.

Sounds like the F10 535i was quite reliable. What inspired you to sell it?

Congrats! I too upgraded from an F10 535xi to the M550 with a shitty Maserati in between. You will love it, it builds on all the greatness of the F10 in terms of technology and luxury and style. Plus you now get the beast V8.

I also went from and f10 535xi to a g30 m550. For the money, it's a great buy as it's a big step up in everything. Great choice.

Only issue I had with my F10 was the run flat tires. The car was solid and a beast. I really wanted to get a G30 540i with all the bells and whistles but I couldnt really find one that I liked with low miles and the options I wanted. So I saw the M550, and pulled the trigger. You bet! You won't be wanting for much in the power and comfort departments with the M550i, especially with the really nice packages that you have. Even handling is very respectful for what it is. Enjoy your ownership of this fine machine and do post your experiences here along the way.

Same issue with runflats on the F10. Went through 9 in the first two years. Wheel and tire insurance to the rescue but still a PIA. Never had to buy new tires though, they seemed to be always new.

My M550 was optioned with summer non runflats and a spare. Still got the insurance and I’ve used it a lot. Got my money back and more.

I ditched the runlets on the F10 and was sooooo happy! If the runlets on the G30 give me an issue, then I will ditch them as well.

Congrats, welcome to the m550

As mentioned plenty of m550 owners here
You’ve one of in my opinion, BMWs best and perhaps underrated
The m5 (rightly) gets the line light but the 550 is a very capable car for the road and rather under the radar.
