In my case it was just an ECU flash.

Wow.

Anyone know of any US based tuner doing this?

No haven't got a way of doing that apart from eyeballing it in a watch or phone. Is there any free apps?

Will try next time I'm out.

Did a few runs today see video below, it's around 0-60 in 4.5 seconds on relatively flat or slightly uphill road. I can't help but lift off very slightly at about 40mph as the gear shifts.. tried 3 times…brain is pre programmed to treat the engine nice so could be even less😂

Over 600nm of torque and about 330bhp on the sport dials but should be getting 360 per the remap so not sure what's happening there could be due to ambient temperature.

Lot of fun but not what I remapped for, I find the power delivery from 80 up to be great and more useful in normal driving for overtaking etc.

Car just pulls all the way up to max speed.

Standard fuel in ireland think that's 95 octane

No idea of it can be done remotely but sounds like a bad idea corrupt map or similar could happen

That's amazing. Really amazing. I have a LCI with extra boost when they crack the code for that version, I will remap it. It will be a beast.

UMB the guy who did it for me is either polish or Lithuanian can remember has a large BMW Indy garage in Dublin.

I bet he has friends in mainland Europe that can do this also, could be a nice road trip for you, they use some UK companies remaps can't remember who.

May be worth you contacting them via Facebook and asking, at. Minimum you can find out what maps they use.

I am based in Denmark and we have a lot of tuning companies.

I am waiting for them to crack the code for the LCI with extra boost it should be a monster.

Anyone with a B48 or B58 should look into MG Flasher.
Its an app that lets you do all the flashing you want. For example if you have to go back to the dealer you can flash it to stock and then later flash back stage 1 or 2 and you can do this as many times as you like.
Buy their flasher licence, stage 1 or ots maps and an obd adapter or if you have an enet cable you can use that.
Plenty of option that you have full control over from cat delete, remove vmax, change sports gauges, burbles etc.
We have a edrive group here in Ireland and the majority have mg flasher and even some switched from other tunes to mg.

Octane ratings in the EU are different from those in the US. I believe that EU 95 is equivalent to US 93. Here in the western US, the most we can get is 91.

Really? I didn't know that. I thought we all had 93. Frankly, I thought 93 was the recommended fuel for these cars. That's all I've been using. Our "in between" option is 89.

Watch out for S0777(Engine tunning detected) code when going to BMW dealership. It's going to flag it. If you have warranty, the dealer will probably have some questions.
I did a ECU Remap on mine and the code appears only on ISTA, no other tester detects it.

I have ISTA and no sign of any codes showing up since the remap. 2017 530e.

Maybe it depends on the ECU or method of remap.

95 RON = 91 OCT
98 RON = 93 OCT

So that should be okay!
Bootmod3 also has a ACN tune for 91 OCT with lower quality as apparently some states offer...
