I only pause and show the receipt if I am carrying an item that couldn't fit into a bag. But mainly just to be polite and acknowledge them. Most of the time they never ask and I just voluntarily show them.

Let's see if the woman tonight actually shows up to see the Acura. So far, everyone that has contacted me has low balled, ghosted or plain wasted my time for other bs reasons.

She's bringing her "mechanic" boyfriend. I smell a case of trying to get the $ lower even though I said firm.

I dread selling cars. Partly because I know I'll miss them. But mainly because of the hassle factor. I have a low tolerance for flaky behavior and fuckery. You really have to set expectations and stick to them, for the sake of your own sanity. Anybody who's serious about the car will respect your terms, as long as they're not totally bizarre and unreasonable.

Earlier today, I was texting with a guy that wanted to come see it. Mofo was an idiot wasting my time asking mileage then telling me it's too many miles. Ahole it was in the ad!!!!

I won't miss this car. It's just my beater that I never used anyway.

That's why if it's a run of the mill car like a daily, we typically trade it in as we don't keep many extras....and they are well used by the time we are done with them.

Like with mine or my wife's car (she really doesn't care what she drives)... We trade it in for as much as we can get as we are paying cash for the next vehicle in line. We haven't financed a car in forever.

With the fun cars we have, those are easier to sell as most will have a "niche" market that are attracting a certain type of buyer anyway!

I traded an Acura MDX in on my F15. The dealer gave me a fair deal, and I had already negotiated my purchase price on the F15. Well worth the savings in time and sanity. I'm in my apartment during the week and don't have an extra parking stall for a second vehicle while I'm trying to sell it. Could have kept it up at the cabin, but it's a remote rural area and there's no market for it up there.

Well, the sale went great. They really didn't even inspect the car. She was sold as soon as she saw it lol. Short test drive & did the paperwork. The "mechanic" boyfriend is the worst mechanic ever, but I don't think he actually is one. He looked like he should be on the show "Claws"

I sold a car to someone who brought their "mechanic" friend. I asked him what kind of shop he worked at he replied "oh no I don't work in a shop I work at Autozone." I was waiting for him to ask me if the vehicle was 2WD or 4WD.
