Make the most of your combustion engine
Headlines in the UK today that we're looking to ban the sale of cars with combustion engines (including hybrids) from 2035 (brought forward from 2040)
Whatever your views, that's quite aggressive to achieve given the current infrastructure imho. |

It's a politician's pledge - therefore nonsense.

Agreed - we have huge infrastructure problems to overcome with this. Whilst electric only is inevitably the future (in my opinion) we don't have anything like the charging points/options available. Perhaps the advent of solid state batteries and other advanced battery tech changes things, but I for one will mourn the day good internal combustion engines die. My next car may well be my last IC car though so I need to choose very wisely indeed!!

Hydrogen fuel cells I think will be a better solution for most in that you can fill up in 5 mins like you can today. Just need the infrastructure built out for it which is obviously not a 5 minute job but then when you think what it takes to get oil out and into your car, we should be able to , surely?
