Tire Choice - Vredestein Quatrac Pro (Anyone try these out yet?)

Hey, I'm going to take delivery of a 21' m550i and I'm looking for an all season tire for my sister to use on this car.

Has anyone tried using the Vredestein Quatrac Pro tirerack??

I see theyre AA rated and not AAA rated.
How do you think these would be in the summer on an m550i?

Terrible to be honest. All seasons aren't good in any season. You need a dedicated set of winters and summers. For summer I would recommend continental extreme contact sport for a daily driven car and Michelin pilot sport 4s for ultimate grip and something not just a commuter.

Summers will have more grip at the limit than their all season equivalent, but I don't think your sister will come close to reaching the limit of those tires anyway if she's not flying into corners like a madman lol.

Tell you what. I have Vredestein snows on my winter wheels and I love them. By far the quietest and best handling snow I've had, and I've tried them all - literally. With that said, I just purchased Stance wheels. Like us all I did the research on which tire to go with. After reading reviews, watching the Tire Rack videos then speaking with a Tire Rack rep I decided to get Quatrac Pro once my wheels come in.

Initially since I have dedicated snows I was only looking for summer only tires. I agree with both replies above. Honestly I was surprised that I was going with an all season but for the price on 19's, and the $500 - $600 I'm saving (compared to the above mentioned tires) I figured, if I made a mistake I can always get something else down the road.

My criteria was a tire that was quiet, had good wet and obviously dry weather performance. After I tune my car I'll be pushing 600hp or so, I was thinking having a slightly harder compound may help in eating up tires.

The Tire Rack review mentioned how the dry weather was very good, again surprising for an all season.

There's my $0.02

Thanks - that's helpful. The Tire Rack does make them sound good, and they're cheap. The other appealing thing to me is that I could still use these in March and October (shoulder season) meaning two fewer months on snow tires.

Right, they have the snowflake - fingers crossed on these.
