Hey guys,

Recently picked up a 2017 540i. On my 335i E92 they recommended flushing/bleeding the brakes every 2 years. I cant find the recommended brake or coolant flush maintenance intervals for the G30. Does anyone know them or can point me in the direction of where its posted?

I have a U.K. 2017 model and my brake fluid was replaced after 3 years. My car is stating it needs to be replaced again in 2 years or 14000 miles which ever sooner.

I've only about 16.5k miles on the car at present.

Hopefully that gives you an idea.
It should be displayed on the I drive when it is next due to be done.

Many thanks! I was looking in good ol i-drive but didnt find a mention about it. I guess it will just pop up? My car is 3 years old now so should probably plan for it.

BTW - How about a coolant flush?

First brake fluid change is after three years, then every second year after that - at least here in EU. Coolant change is not mentioned anywhere, that I´ve seen.

Yeh not sure about coolant either. Part of usual servicing no doubt

Note if you have you bmw app set up it will show your service information including next brake fluid change

Thanks guys! Yup, I see it in there but just recently picked up this car from an online retailer who we are not sure actually changed the oil or brake fluid and possibly just reset the alerts. I changed the oil but just wasn't sure about the maintenance schedule for brake flush and coolant flush as I am pretty religious about following them. Super thanks for the help!

So just an update. For those that never heard of him. Mike Miller has been writing maintenance schedules for our BMWs for years. I have confirmed with him that the latest one listed here is the newest one as nothing has changed.

So the answer for coolant flush recommended is still every 2 years. Also, something I forgot about is power-steering fluid which is every 30,000 miles (even though BMW says "lifetime". Anyway, hope you guys might find this doc useful if you dont have it already and thanks for all the help you provided!
