F10 M5 to M550i?

Has anyone made this move? My M5 lease is up later this year and I'm trying to figure out what to do next. I want something a bit more toned down, less aggressive, more comfortable for city driving - I know, sounds lame..

I am doing that very trade. My M5 lease is up next week and I have a 2 week wait for Performance Center Delivery on a loaded M550i. I'll hate the wait but also will be tough for a back to back comparison.

I was fortunate to do a test drive. It wasn't the best roads/traffic/ability to see what it can really do but it is a very close substitute to the F10 M5 and did seem better as a daily driver.

EDIT: I'll definitely be reporting in on it in 3 weeks.

OP,

I don't think you will be disappointed since you are looking to tone it down. Though, you may miss the exhaust note of F10.

I was choosing between CPO F10 M5/'18 F80 M3/'18 M550i and settled with M550i. Mind you this will be my wife daily and family car when we don't need SUV. I am glad I went with M550i instead of F10 since I still have my F80 M3. It was a good thought to have both M3 and M5 in the same garage but I don't even want to daily my M3; exhaust and ESS doesn't help either.

All in all, you will not be disappoint with M550i, until you see AWD M5 sitting next to you at a redlight. Thought $$ / $$, you can't beat M550i.

Enjoy!
