attaching side splitters?
I love the look of side splitters and am possibly looking into a set for my car...
Firstly, are the e90 and e92 side skirts the same length? Secondly, how have you guys attached them? I know most use a combo of double sided tape, along with some self tapping screws... Did you take off you skirts to attach them? Where did you screw into your sideskirts at? (obv at the front and back, but where specifically?) I live in the northeast, and do drive my car during the winter from time to time, so I do have potential of getting salt up inside where the self tapping screws are, I don't want it to rust anything out or ruin anything on the inside. Any pics from the underside of your cars would be helpful!

I did double sided tape, did not like the result so did a combination of tape and actual bolts. Didn't like self tapping screws idea.

Did you take off the sides skirt, drill holes, and bolt/nut? or? Any pics?

Removed the side skirt so they were easy to work on (fairly easy process as well). Drilled and used a flat headed bolt with a locking nut. I'll post pics once I ever figure out how to post pics on this forum, LOL! Always a problem for me. If it's not a click or too I lose interest, probably the reason pics of my car are from over 4 years ago, LOL!

Ha yea, I wish forums had the ability to host pictures.... You need to upload them to a site like FlickR or something, then use the pictures URL in the "image button" when posting... more complicated than I wish it was as well.

Upload them to imgur. It's pretty quick. It even provides you links that are meant for the forums, so you don't need to click the picture button.

take the side skirt off, it makes it easy. I use nut and bolts on mine...no double-side tape. As for drilling...place them to your liking...further out, closer in, etc...and drill
