For any Hybrid, specifically 530e, can the Hybrid battery be used to charge the standard 12v battery or used for the Starter motor if the 12v battery died?

Even if the Hybrid battery doesn't, you can still drive in Hybrid mode and start the engine because you have momentum right?

On the 530e the high voltage battery system keeps the two 12v batteries charged.
