Inside plastic piece for trunk doors
Hello,
I have lost this plastic piece of my G30. Does anyone know how this part is called or where to buy online? I understand it is just a small piece with no function but this empty gap bothers me. |

US vehicles have the roadside assistance sticker holder. Mine falls off all the time too. I finally gave up and threw it in the side cubby where the 530e charging cable can be stored. Thought about trying to get the Euro triangle and holder to fill the gap.

Mine falls off too. I keep a set of battery powered LED flashers in the trunk, but to be honest with RFT I'm not sure why. It does kind of bug me that this thing keeps falling off; I may use some adhesive to keep it in place just for appearances.

This has just started to fall off on my 530e after almost 3 years. I will BMW replace it when I am in for an oil change. Bizarre.

Mine keeps falling off too! I ended up putting it in the storage compartment to the right side by the battery. I brought it up to the service advisor and they told me the the master tech expertly put it back properly...only to find it loose and on the boot floor the next day. I am not sure if buying a new plastic part will solve the issue. I will try the adhesive method.

couple of points I'd like to make, if I may:
- US vehicles not having the emergency bit is rather silly (Yes, some good corporate reason, but to a consumer spending a large (to them) amount on the vehicle, it just seems mean-spirited to not include it) - the very fact that it's a non-functional item just offends me on a personal level (with my view being colored by older BMW's where if an item was on the vehicle, it had a functional reason) - hold a screwdriver/plate/something - not just a useless piece of plastic - I ended up buying the triangle and specific mount (you need both - cost around $50) just to have that safety feature |

Thought it was just me. Started noticing the cover falling off and was just sitting in my trunk. I bent the plastic clips a little open and it seems to have worked, keeping it clipped in. So weird that we all are experiencing that.

I am curious on the thought process behind it. in terms of cost etc.
And also now wondering if other German imports have the same process model. I'm thinking of the safety cones and safety triangles one occasionally sees behind a stranded truck on a highway - any safety is better than none. still annoyed on a functional level aspect though - either go all the way in making it functional, or just remove the trim cutout and have a solid trunk covering. i'm just becoming (more of) a curmudgeon... |

I had the piece that kept falling as well. I just ordered the holder and triangle from ECS and it works fine. Really don't need it, but it there and it doesn't fall.

Can anyone provide a part number or source for the warning triangle that mounts to the deck lid? The mount itself is listed all over, but I can't find the actual triangle anywhere.

Ever look under the car? I have a 2022, and underneath there are two cutout openings for oil drains, and BMW stopped putting covers on those openings. Its looks so strange, and they say its normal. I dont know what year they stopped installing them.
