Hi guys
For some reason when listening DAB radio its keep stopping sue to " no signal".
Not sure if this is down to poor signal coverage or some instruments faults.
When had service in BMW ask them to check this and they come back to me with " no issues".
Do understand that all areas where i live is not properly covered, but traveling on most motorways in the UK just can not keep playing.
Also had a few new BMW as a courtesy car and never had this issues around my area and list of available stations was crazy long. My BMW just offering me probably 15 stations compare to 30+ on new BMW. Any ideas what can cause this?
Also have to mention that i got dashboard camera front and rear.
I have already put in the front wiring ferrite core magnet. Haven't try back yet.

Yes experienced exactly the same .
That’s why I just listen to fm these days unless I have no other choice

Whilst DAB had the opportunity to offer a good quality audio, it has suffered as they have squashed so many channels into it now that they have been compressed to such an extent that FM sounds better. Some of the channels I read somewhere were even mono to save on the amount of data being distributed

Also, when out of DAB signal system should automatically change to same FM channel, which sometimes unfortunately doesn't happened.
My question is why new cars ( at least which i have driven) doesn't have this issues?

DAB is prone to good quality signal and if that falls below certain (still quite high) level, there is no sound at all (FM would still play something albeit poorly). It looks to me there may be a signal deterioration in car (possibly DAB antenna amplifier?). But I have no idea how to check this...

Dashcam’s in both my BMW’s (1 and 3 series) really affects DAB reception. I’ve given up and just use Radioplayer via CarPlay.
