I had mentioned in another thread that there are no Stage 2+ OTS maps available for my 2020 540i (B58C engine). I did some more research to find out why, and found a post in the X5 forum which stated: "MHD confirms, . . . 'there are not ST2+ maps for GEN2 B58 cars, ST2 is already as strong as ST2+ on GEN1 B58.'"

This would have allayed my concerns about not having a Stage 2+ map, except... looking at the numbers on bootmod3's website, they claim up to a 47% HP increase on Stage 2+, which is a whole lot more than any of their Stage2 maps.

I'm currently running the bm3 Stage 1 E30 map. I'm planning to get a catted downpipe, and I'm wondering how much performance I would be leaving on the table with a Stage 2 map.

Not quite your answer but I’m gen1 and in my experience, I noticed the most difference from stage 2+. Def worth it.

OK thanks. I'm going to install the DP and the Stage 2 map, and if I don't notice a really significant difference from the current Stage 1 map, I guess I'll look into a custom tune.
