So, I did my Remus install last night. I have the incorrect diffuser, which does not fit the tips. I ordered the correct diffuser and I was gonna wait for it to come in to do the install, but it’s coming from Cali to NJ, which takes a week and I’m not that patient. So I opted to trim my current M5 diffuser and use that temporarily. I trimmed a little more of an angle than I needed but to be honest it actually looks pretty good. I could have probably lived with this if I was 100% sure it was going to work from the beginning.

As far as price, I got it from eBay from a seller in Germany that had it in stock. Made an offer for 1,559 Euros and they accepted but shipping was like $400. Total was almost $2300 after tax and took just under a month to get. Two of those weeks were shipping.

Install was a bit time consuming doing it alone on my back but overall straightforward. I dropped the entire exhaust so I could make my cut as clean as possible. Most difficult part was getting the height of the exhaust correct because it is adjustable. So that took a bit of trial and error since the adjustment bolts are in a tight spot once the muffler is hung.

Sound is absolutely insane. But I have set my burbles to around age 40. Right now they are set to about age 23 and it’s a little much. 😂

VRSF catless, FTP intake tube and high flow air filter, BM3 Stage 2+, XHP Stage 3.

That’s what I hear! I can’t wait to mod mine. Doing a bunch of house renovations right now and when that’s done I’m going all out on the 540i!

Looks good and hardly noticeable.

I can live with it!

I was thinking of trimming mine in that same way and you just convinced me it could be done.

At the moment i have only the center tips attached.

The outer tips need a tad more space to fit properly and i'd rather not take the risk paying for a new diffuser and it also not fit properly.

Thanks to your post and sharing info, I had my diffuser trimmed today to accommodate the quad tips. I'm very satisfied with how it came out.

Did you do it yourself? The trimming? I was debating if I should trim mine when I buy an exhaust or buy a diffuser. I don’t mind the stock one and I like saving money lol

I didn't do it myself. I took it to a body shop and showed them to parts that needed to be trimmed based on the photos provided in this thread.

Gotcha not a bad idea unless I found a diffuser for a solid price. I’m cheap lol
