I wouldn't hold out for a true OBD Flash, as they have been working on it for a long time (Since 2012/13) Bench loading is only way forward I think due to the encryption BMW put into the new ECUs.

I know....makes you wonder why they didn't go with a B58 (in some tuned variation) for the new M2.

Unless....the one dyno that we're ALL basing this on (the Burger dyno) is inflated. Just seems too good to be true. I need to see more B58 dynoes until I'm sold that it's truly THAT much more powerful.

yeah, i really wondered about that too.

Maybe the N55 can handle more boost from a block perspective (they did revise the engine internals and just carried the block over)?

BMW really has done a great job with the power band on the new engines.

Just installed mine today, it yanks pretty hard. It's a good boost for a stock car. Can't get the fuel gauge hijack to work though, the setting reverts back to 0

Contact Terry. He can give you a firmware version with some changes that allows it to work.

A little late, but look at the throttle closure, that was an over boost. Target is obviously a little less.

I have a N55 X-Drive with JB4 on map 5 and ER down pipe, my brother just got a B58 X-Drive, it's bone stock.

Did some side by side runs with him last night and honestly, the B58 is quite promising. We were neck and neck the whole time, I just started to pull away by half a cars to one cars length past 60mph. He has run flats whereas I'm on michelins too... Can't wait to get my hands on a B58 with JB4 DP...

Is there a place listing the latest revision with a change log? I wonder what Terry is waiting for to move the product out of beta.

No access to e85 but running 94 octane. Map 5 is always what I've been running with this setup

The revision baldmonkey is talking about is just something Terry will send individually. The B58 JB4 thread over at N54 tech has the latest firmware. To my knowledge there aren't many versions out there so the one posted there is good. Terry has mentioned they are working on the other maps; that would be what I would assume needs to be released before this is moved out of beta.
