Replacement tires - currently have factory run flats
Guys, I don't have a spare and I've never had run flats. I had to replace one already due to a nail. What are your thoughts on keeping or changing them? They seem pretty good so far. Thoughts?

If you like them then keep them.

I immediately replaced my OE runflats with Pirelli A/S, much quieter and softer ride and no noticeable difference in performance, but the car is still quite new and I didn't put many miles on the OE tires. I've got them stored away for lease return time.

I just replaced my Goodyear F1 RFTs with Michelin Pilot AS/3's. Much better ride and handling but they are a bit noisy at speed. We'll see if the stay that way once they wear in.
I went with the AS/3s over the PS4S to have better cold weather traction with a longer life and better value.

You may like to look at a euro tyre site where all the key factors like wet, dry handling and noise are listed in standard format.
My five came with non run flats and I'm very happy with them. |

This was a big debate for me. I have had several cars without a spare, and did not use runflats. My 2019 M550 came with Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics. I initially liked them, but then started popping tires. After the second sidewall failure, I replaced them with Michelin PS3ZP runflats. I debated the PS4S, but decided to give these brand new runflats a chance. Like them so far. They seem to be as grippy and quiet as the PS4S I had on my M4. I have 20 inch wheels....kind of wish I had gone with 19's after popping two tires, but that is water under the bridge. Time will tell, but I am happy so far with my choice.
