Typically not, but if they're really backed up I think they occasionally do weekend hours.

According to The Genius rep earlier today, my car is in the paint shop (152) with production scheduled for completion tomorrow, July 6th. Is this possible?

Last update for my order was 6/22 - Status 102... Any idea when I'll be seeing an update? Nothing shows up for my production number online

I have an order that starts production next week (week 28). Originally it was supposed to start production this week but it got pushed out. It still hasn't shown up on My BMW yet. The BMW genius told me that I'll be able to add it once it goes into production. Obviously, we have had people add it well before that, so there is some confusion as to when it's supposed to start showing. It seems to be completely random.

You bring a ray of hope, my friend

As of yesterday though its still not production code 150. The guy from BMW genius explicitly said it'll start production next week (the week of July 11th). Are they just trying to be conservative by padding the estimates?

from my recent experience, the build week is the week it will finish production.
i'll tell you this now to save you some heartache. Take everything genius says with a grain of salt, they are nice people, but they are simply reading off a screen and are generally behind.

from start of production, up until it finishes, is pretty quick. i'd say 7-9 days and the car will be done. I'm very curious as to if your car will begin production tomorrow....

I can call the genius tomorrow to check, but like you said, they are usually behind.

it should be there in your page..

if not, call your salesguy, he can send you a screenshot of the cars specific point in production, mybmw tracking is kinda stupid anyway, it's basically just start, end, in transit, and at dealer. Vague.

The beginning of this thread has great in depth instructions. The BMW site is not very useful anyway. You can call the BMWNA number which is an automated system or you can call BMW Genius and ask for the status.

What exactly does it mean? MyBMW shows "Production begins" but I know it should be 3rd week of September build. Is it possible it is moved because I have base version?

Builds can sometimes move up in the pipeline but I would just call the Genius line. That has more up to date info. The online tracker is pretty basic and only get updated as the car hits major milestones.

My M4 shows the exact same status as your car but it has been complete since July 4th. Sadly it has been hit with the diff stop delivery so the system won't update any further.

Called them and yes, seems like it's moved. He said Week 37 (Sep 4-10 production completion) And dealer initially said 3rd week of September. And he also said car already in Production. So, maybe I will get it beginning of November, not end of November as planned

Hey Guys. Gotta question. Searched around and found some conflicting answers. One of our cars arrived the other day into NJ port and went to "delivered from" status pretty quickly. What does this mean? Has the car cleared customs? Is it on its way to the dealer? The OP doesn't go into detail about the different status's at the VPC. Thanks

Looks like your car has arrived at port and most likely going through customs on it's way to VPC. Results vary here which is why the OP doesn't go into details. Expect your car to be on it's way to dealer within a week of when it landed at port. As long as you don't have damage to be corrected or have Port Installed Accessories on your order, it should move through VPC within a week. Mine took almost 2 weeks to make it to dealer from when it arrived at port, but I had all sorts of MP parts added which delayed things.

Trust me, you can really drive yourself crazy trying to get status at this point and nobody will really be able to give you an accurate answer.

Thanks for the reply. I have officially started to drive my self crazy The wife and I are waiting for both of our cars to cross the Atlantic. Her 340 just arrived and my M4 should be at port on the 14th. It's crazy how random the VPC/custom process can be.

We have a loaner 2009 Toyota Camry with bald tires and 130,000 miles on it that I've been driving since we got back from ED. I'm sure that isn't helping my sanity

Similar question to Yoda. It says Customs and Liner release, although there isn't a quantity on the column on the right. I assume it didn't make it through customs this fast? Does that mean its pending customs and pending release to liner for transport to VPC?
