So it's 8200 released to carrier now - it's in the UK and the guys says should be ready to pick by 21st May - which tbh I can't see what will take that long if it's already onshore now..?

I feel bad for the geniuses - they must be trained in so much of the bmw tech crap, but all I ask them for 3 times a day is what's the status of my build...

Ok so not in the uk! The geniuses do often get this stuff wrong it seems. It's prior to the shipping so still in Germany...

dunno. I do have enough options on there to sink the boat - maybe they needed to offload it ASAP lest it collapsed in on itself and caused a black hole or something.

No complaints - I wanted it quick and specially given the problems lots of others are having, I'm extremely grateful... Still a few hundred miles to go though...

Yeah there is that, looks like I've been lucky too as mine has departed the plant today. Hopefully BMW will sort the issues and the others will get there's sooner than expected.

I am not going to message the genius till Monday now. I know it's gonna be hard but need a little sanity for a couple days.

My dealer is going to check it every couple days to make sure it doesn't change dates again...

I think I wanna just see it for the first time when it's actually ready. So they can just crack on with the prep.
