Mine was updated in December by the dealership and is 007.030.001. So in just a few months it appears that there have been some incremental changes (I am guessing that the first three digits, if change, represent a major change and the following digits smaller changes).

I have no idea what the differences are.

When I enter my VIN over at https://www.bmw.com/en/footer/software-updates.html, I am shown the same exact firmware update already applied to my ID6 (2017 G30) back in July 2020:

Telephone: TB-006.008.050
Media: MB-006.007.050
HMI: HB-006.026.050

No further firmware updates have been available for my car since July, 2020.

How can I get my hands on this update? Dealer only?

Will it be compatible with my 2017 530i, Feb 2017 build date???

BMW Update at website is NOT a Firmware Update. This is just a multimedia update.

Was updated my 2017 530i G30, need to be done at Bmw service point.
Got s15a-22-03-553. I guess 22-06 is latest now.

Mine got updated to 22-03 so I got to turn on the full screen carplay. Didn't notice anything else, maybe carplay switches on faster now. Is there a way to turn on auto song play on carplay when it is connected? I have to start it manually each time.

Sorry missed this, mine is an early 2017 (registered March), no idea of build date.

It has recently been updated to the latest software (007.039.008) which has fixed the No Signal issue i was having with the TV module.

now i just Apple Car play!
