I think it matters less in today's world than say about 30 years ago.

As many of us know and perhaps have seen first hand, so much of production is mechanised and robotic, and so the question of which producing nation is an emotional issue rather than a quality related one

There was of course similar debate when Spartanburg opened and puritans then even said BMW was finished etc etc and yet many yrs on its BMWs best factory

I think some of the other BMW factories like Rosslyn that have won the top quality awards would disagree with that statement
