Loudest Possible Exhaust Setup for M550 with stock downpipes

I have been searching the forums for a while now and can't seem to figure out whats the loudest possible exhaust setup.

I want to have valves, whether thats the oem or aftermarket ones, but it needs to be as loud as possible without changing downpipes? Any reccomendations?

I already have the resonators deleted, but it's still not loud enough. Have been leaning towards replacing the OEM muffler with valvetronic mufflers, but am not sure. Have heard the remus axleback and the dinan aren't much louder.

Have you already removed the secondary cats? I personally have never heard a nice sound coming from straight pipes, just an ear splittingly loud one.

Delete the mufflers to get the loudest sound.

It's not the best sound, but that's not what you asked.

I love how this car sounds. Except I can never do this as I need to have valtronic to quiet it down.

How’s the armytrix system, that seems to be the loudest sound and it retains valves?

I don’t want to cut the muffler out and lose valves completely, I rather replace it with a louder valved system.

Is there secondary cats on these cars? Exhaust shop didn’t mention that as an option

Armytrix is aggressive, loud and raspy.

it's not my cup of tea as I prefer a deeper tone, but if that's what you are looking for it's a good option.

I have an Armytrix exhaust. I would say it's comparable to FI exhaust. I have catless down pipes, So the full catback was too obnoxious and raspy for me.

So I had a custom piece made up so I could use the armytrix axle back portion with my stock resonated midpipe. Sounds much better now to me.

What do you recommend for a loud exhaust and a deep tone.

Is Remus or dinan axleback mufflers a significant difference from the stock muffler? That was my original plan but I didn’t want to deal with the oem valves, but I recently also discovered a valve controller from dinan.

Mike can chime in as he knows best, but I im pretty sure those axle backs are quite conservative. So I would say there will not be a significant difference from stock. If you go with their cat backs, I think that would put you were you want to be.imo.

I think only b the m8 and m5 have primary and secondary cats whereas 8 and 5 series only had the one large cat immediately after the turbine.

He might have been confusing the front resonator with the cat.

I recommend the REMUS exhaust

Dinan is a close second but more on the mild side.

I don't think you have the secondary cat outside of europe, and you definitely don't get the OPF.
