Does a 540i xDRive have Active Sound Design?

Guys does the 540i xdrive have active sound device? I could have sworn I saw it using BimmerCode. But I upgraded my firmware to get the full screen CarPlay Active Sound Design is now missing using BimmerCode. Did I just imagine (used demo) that the 540i has Active Sound? Does the 540 even have Active Sound? Is there a way for me to check for this? Thanks in advance.

According to this site, for a 530 there is ASD:

https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/g...ign/1VnYRZO99v

In >2019 builds (at least X3, X5, so maybe >2020 for G30), we switched to the Receiver Audio Module (RAM), which has the ASD module + amp + tuners all in one. It's also the reason there aren't any plug and play amps right now.

https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/g...tem/1VncbdteKV

RAM: Receiver audio module
The receiver audio module (RAM) is a control unit and part of the infotainment.

The receiver audio module (RAM) is available in different versions and power levels:
  • Basic version of receiver audio module (RAM)
  • Mid variant of receiver audio module (RAM)
  • High version of receiver audio module (RAM)
Together with the booster, the receiver audio module (RAM) enables the following customer functions in the field of audio, radio and television:

AM, FM, DAB, SDARS tuners (US version)
  • Active Sound Design outside and inside
  • Vehicle Sound Generator for electric vehicles
  • Acoustic signal of turn indicator
  • Staging of interior lighting of Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System
  • Television with possible external card reader
  • Connection for microphones
  • Signal processing for the acoustic signal of the CC message

No, 540 has it too. Pretty sure everything has it, minus the 530e (and even then, it may have it, it's just off by code).

I thought so. Before I upgraded my firmware I could have sworn I saw the ASD module available in BimmerCode. Once I've update my firmware (so that i can get fullscreen CarPlay) I don't see the ASD module anymore using BimmerCode. I reached out to the BimmerCode creator and told me he has never found that module available for my 540i. So I'm super confused. Am I wrong in my thinking that it was there prior to me upgrading? That's why I tried reaching out forum experts about this. I want to find out once and for all if the 540 has it. My friends non m sport 2017 330i has the ASD module when I used my BimmerCode on her car. My 540i is an m sport version and I don't see it.

ASD not on 540i

my (2018 -pre LCI) 540iX does not have ASD and I believe no 540iX G30/G31 has even though the bimmerapp does show the option in the list.

That's weird as some 3 series even have them. Wonder why it was left off the 5 series.
