It’s pretty much the only trim I get. Yes, you get some fine micro scratches, but nothing I can’t live with and you only see them in the sun. It can be polished, but it’s like herding cats.

Not surprised it looks quite low as it is, any lower and you scrape the hell out of the underside and it's not cheap to buy in the first place does make it look agressive though....which is nice

Bought this for my X5/Girlfriend. I was so impressed with the quality, I ordered one for the M550 which gun metal hardware and my initials (obviously).

My 20" BBS CI-R's came out of hibernation today... The wheels were coated with Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour back in 2020... the coating is still holding up well but thought it was time for a top up as they say it only lasts 2-3 years.

I spent some time this afternoon wiping them down with panel wipe and then replied some more C5. They recommend 12 hours of cure time indoors before putting them back on. I'm a big fan of Gtechniq products as they are very easy to work with and very forgiving if you happen to have any high spots.

I'm enjoying 19" wheel life a lot... I already know putting these back on won't be as good in terms of comfort and against pot holes (but they'll look good atleast ) haha

Ha - I think the opposite. Lackluster matte ashe is a non-starter for me as that's what I consider boring. You should have no problem selling that Piano Black (which is an upcharge over the basic ashe stuff).

To each their own, definitely a first, usually the other way around.

Some time ago I'd agree with you. I was never a fan of wood trim in cars. I never thought that I'll buy/own a car with wood trim, and now I'm retrofitting it
The piano black trim is too high maintenance for my taste. Dust and scratch magnet. Also, this matte, textured, black wood trim makes the cognac interior pop a lot more

I totally get the high maintenance and it showing scratches and people avoiding it because of that, just not sure I would use the term "boring" to describe it. Yup, you are definitely bulletproof with the matte finishes. All that matters is you like it. It is all subjective.

My favorite wood with a Caramel/Cognac interior is this, I believe it's mahogany, wish they offered it in the G30, although it would probably be too much given the large panel sizes.

I actually quite like that trim and I think it goes well with the cognac.

Well, I ain't no grandpa! Old enough, but have three kids living the dream.

IDK, I guess I am too much of an E39 fan, that interior is coveted by the E39 community. If you could find it on the inside of an Imola Red E39 M5, you probably have the most desirable E39.

Those wheels are sooo nice. I just couldn't have 20" wheels and 30 section tires with the roads I drive on.

I have the grandpa trim (the dark walnut type). It was my last choice but the car had everything else I wanted and has black seats so it's acceptable. I'm no grandpa either.. Just entering the midlife crisis phase but beggars can't be choosers. I don't think I could do brown on brown.
