what is the difference between getting the Msport package and the DDC option vs the MSport suspension that comes with the MSport Package? Thanks

M-sport suspension is the '704' passive sport option. DDC is the active suspension option. Variable damping with the different base modes.

DDC option not available anymore. is either Msport 704 or DHP

i ordered mine with MSport package and DDC. i think ddc removed the m suspension. but did I make a huge mistake? I have second thoughts and issues.

A few initial orders were configured with DDC option 223 instead of 704 for $700, but when I tried to change my order to add option 223 DDC, it was no longer available, so I cancelled and now have a M550ix on order. I wanted DDC, I test drove 704 M sport and prefer DDC.

Are you saying you can't get the 530 with DDC in the US anymore?

Yes, that is what I am saying, On Feb 3rd I asked my dealer to add option 223 DDC to my car, they tried and were not able to do it, some builds had accepted 223 DDC before, and it was in the intial Pricing Guide as a $700 option, BMW NA changed it and is no longer an option. Don't know if they will add it later.

I might be getting things mixed up... I ordered DDC, and it cancels M Sport suspension... you can't have both... so no mistake

I am in the US, other countries have different configs. US does not allow DDC unless you get DHP

OK Gotcha... so it has to be ordered as part of a package, not standalone...

... it seems he ordered when the system briefly allowed DDC-only it appears... my response was really to say if you order DDC (or DDC as part of DHP in effect), then M Sport gets deleted automatically.

i ordered my 540i with the msport package. and then added the ddc. it was prior to seeing that it removes the m suspension on thr inoine configurator. I added the ddc because I heard good things about the adaptive mode. but nowmy concern is will the suspension now be too floaty. i dont know if that makes sense. i just work up.

You will be fine
You can now have the suspension soft in comfort or hard in sport (like it would have been all the time with M Sport)

Only difference is it will not have the 10mm drop M Sport suspension has

So i have just checked my order and adding VDC/DDC in the UK doesn't delete the M Sport suspension.

thank you for spelling it out. I am glad to read this. it is frustrating that sales people offer barely and more information than the website description. I found that I knew more in most cases. And this is at more than one dealership. But I digress...this is going to be a long two months while it is being built!

There must be some bug with the US configurator. DDC is shown as a no-cost option for 540i xDrive but no where to be found for 540i.
