Yes
20202 - only have 35 miles.
Just turned in a 440 with mppsk and jb4.

Here is what it sounded like

No resonators (stock with the mppsk)

Don’t have a draggy unit but maybe I will pick one up

How much louder is stock vs 1 resonator vs 2 removed?

Your car only has one resonator, I believe they already deleted the rear unit. I could be wrong, going off of the m850.
On my car when I removed rear resonator it sounded 50% louder than stock, with both gone it is double the volume as stock.

Wow!! I think those are the first pics of underneath the 2020's!!
If your thinking of doing it and hesitant just do one like I did. I only went back to to have the other removed because when they removed the one my pipes stuck out of rear 3/4 of an inch and it symmetrically bothered me that it didn't look stock and initially told the guy it might grow on me. So when I was there to have that fixed I said just take off the 2nd resonator and fix the exhaust so tips were touch with bumper. You can always add back the resonator or both.
I admit I like it more now. Totally depends on your taste, but with putting the fuse back in "quiet mode" with flaps working it's docile sounding in comfort mode.
Get a dragy already would ya!!

Thank you!!! So the exhaust clip posted a while ago is a bit misleading then - truthfully in right moments the stock M550i does pop and burble a bit, so I guess the video just captured the right moment.

Go look in my post history I put videos of my car with all 4 resonators removed. Honestly with the fuse intact in comfort mode under load or acceleration the sound is a bit deeper but it's nothing out of hands - the car can still be considered "quiet". I also suggest just removing all 4 while your at it haha, and I guarantee you will not miss your 4 series sound anymore.

Agreed
Highway is quiet with flaps closed in comfort
Very aggressive in sport/sport plus with flaps open.

My burbles are virtually nonexistent - zero backfires or gunshots. And coming from a 440 MPPSk which can wake up the neighborhood its and odd thing for me.

I want to retain quiet in comfort with some grunt when in sport - I felt in the 440, it was fairly loud even in Comfort and could be annoying when under hard acceleration. I also never liked the constant backfire it had when baffles open - decelerating was like a mini gun going off. I love burble but backfire me no like!

I want volume with out the drone and backfires - maybe a single resonator removed would do the trick.

Do what I did. Do one and drive for a month or so. I wasn't planing on doing both but figured while guy was fixing tips screw it take the other one out. They can be put back in if it's too much. But I obviously didn't want it to sound stupid or Ricey either and why I did one to begin and very happy I finally removed 2nd set. It's extremely deep, crackles and pops if you downshift and rpms go over 3k rpm, but if your driving like that in sport/sport plus it's because you want to hear it. So depends on how you drive I guess, that would be indicative of your liking both removed or not

My MPPSK 440 was obnoxious (though not as bad as my S1000RR ) - I loved at first, but then over time it started to get to me with the backfiring. I could do it on command with a downshift and it was LOUD! and sounded sloppy.

I will do one at first then another - but will kill me since Dinan has a X pipe.

Which one did you remove the one towards the front or the rear?

I did rear first like the M850 has it.
You'll be pleased with sound increase. And if you want more do the other

I would actually go with the Dinan x pipe. If I had not removed the resonators, I would have gone with this. Even though it costs about 5-6x, just seems like a cleaner job to me.

If I had known I'd end up with both removed I would have done that as well. Dinan knows what their doing!

X pipe sounds good too - but the 1200 is nuts just for the pipe and would eat at me for spending it.

No way! I didn't know it was that much?? That's just stupid. Ignore my comment above then! I wouldn't have done their xpipe!
