Adding "SPORT PLUS" Mode to lower cc cars
I've asked in many places but everyone told that adding "Sport Plus" Mode to lower cc cars is impossible. After some experiments I've activated the Sport Plus mode on my 1.6lt car.
I can select this property for both engine and transmission. But in actual case what is the difference of "Sport Plus" from "Sport" mode? I've only changed the parameters in the NBTEVO and BDC ecus. Do I need to make additional parameter changes? As I remember DTC control selection is the only difference between these 2 modes but I don't see it in the menu. Selecting Sport Plus now will really change anything on how the Engine and Transmission works? What should I check to see the difference?

Sport+ enables sharper throttle response, holds gears longer and shifts quicker (and harsher). There is no change in DTC/DSC settings between these modes for G30
This is based on my own experience, i also remember reading it in the manual but too lazy to check now

I still don't feel any difference maybe some additional coding of the gear box and/or engine is needed

I thought sport plus was just sport but with dtc and didn't also lock out 8th gear?
Not sure you are missing anything that can't get by just pressing the dcs button once and perhaps moving the gear level over to the left |

I was surprised not to have Sport+ in my G30 520d, when my F31 320d had it.
But the only loss is the harsher gear changes and that's about it. Throttle response in Sport is absolutely fine, so I'm not that fussed, plus I'm sure the harsher gear changes must have impact on wear and tear on high mileage cars. (I'm expecting about 300,000km when I sell my G30)....
