Metal grinding noise from rear wheel

pobrienny Private 51 Rep 56 Posts Drives: BMW X3, BMW 530e Join Date: Mar 2021 Location: USA iTrader: (0)	Metal grinding noise from rear wheel I went to back out of my garage yesterday when I heard loud metal on metal rubbing/grinding from the left rear wheel. First time this has ever happened. It turned out the rotor somehow moved such that it was rubbing with the brake dust plate. Has anyone ever experienced this before? I pried the plate back some to provide clearance and the grinding stopped. I'm just a little surprised this happened. 2018 G30 530e
