The stuck steering wheel is a known thing. I’ve had two fixed under warranty (‘18 540 and ‘21 X7). Both times they had the new column in inventory already, which tells you how often they replace them.

That's interesting. Just flat out dead without warning?

Apologies for the late reply, been inundated with work and family duties.

Parked the car and came out the next morning and couldn't even get in the car. Had to use the key and pop off the cover on the drivers door handle.

Charged the battery for about two hours and was able to start. Immediately drove to my dealer for diagnosis. Car was in service for about 4 hours testing and diagnosing the issue.

Service advisor called and said after multiple tests they were able to find a fault in the battery and authorized a replacement.

Beginning to wonder if the hot temperatures and cooling fan running for long periods after the car is off contributed to the problem.

Huh...a strange issue popped up on my M550i recently. I got a CEL so took it to the dealership and turns out the flap in one of the crank vent valves wasn't shutting all the way due to a layer of deposits inside. The tech sent me a video and the deposit looks brown and muddy/oily. He replaced both the valves.

I have not spoken with the SA yet, but anyone have any idea how or why that might happen?

Screenshot attached.

Yeah, but seems unusual especially at only 47k miles.

Just saw a post on a class action suit for failed turbo cooling lines and a comment that they had been replaced with metal-braided lines in lieu of the "rubber" lines. Don't see any mention of this in this thread. Anyone have info on this and if it applies to the 4-cyl, as well as the V-8 (which was the only model mentioned in the thread)?

Randomly couldn't get the drivers seat left bolster to inflate. Scheduled an appointment for the following Monday and it decided to start working over the weekend. Luckily they were open on a Saturday to call and cancel. Any reason it would be intermittent?

know the braided part numbers? I might start doing some preventative stuff being over 80,000 miles.
