Haha I'm planning to have it detailed Friday. Been waiting for that. It's taking so long because we had to do two things first:
1 - Redo the tint. The dealer is paying for the front two windows because of a tear. They were 15. I redid the rear because the previous owner also put 15 on top of the factory dyed 20 and the result was 1%!!! We did Pinnacle 25 on the fronts and Air 80 everywhere else, including the windshield. Looks and functions much better. 2 - Oh and we had to get this baby out… born at 10:05 a.m. TODAY! I'm killing time in the hospital room, now that the dust has settled. Everyone happy and healthy. Two car seats in the G30 now!

We tabled the suv discussion amidst Covid while it was just us. We have elderly parents, but no children. Im intending to examine the x7 and gls in a year or two. I’d rather take advantage of an suv that has 3 proper rows. Side note- a friend told me that if I test drove a cayenne, I wouldn’t be able to resist, and also to not do so, so I could save the cash. So I pretended it didn’t exist, as the Porsche tax is dear. Ignorance is bliss. |

You know I've never driven the 540i. I went straight to the m550 because I had a F10 550i prior to this. I've actually been debating whether I should consider a 540 M-sport next (2-3 yrs at least). I love the 550, but the gas on this thing is guzzled so quick and I always have a slight fear in the back of my head that something will go wrong randomly. |

Still in the hospital. I may disappear when we get home and this kid really wakes up. First kid was super chill. Maybe we will strike gold twice. TBD

Most likely the S. I read some g05 and Porsche forums alike. Seems like most agree that the Porsche’s interior quality and space leave a bit to be desired vs the x5, but the driving dynamics are far superior and very sedan like. |

I have been switching back and forth between the X7 and 5 series for a few days. Today I realized that every time I switch, I realize how much I love each one. Has me thinking that splitting the difference would leave a little to be desired on either end. That said, watch me end up in an X5 at some point down the road
If I did, I think I'd have to go for the M50 though. You can't even get a good upholstery option in the 40i anymore, unless you get the 45e.

Currently have one of each (2020 M550 and 2020 X5 M50) - similar in some ways and different in others. What is most important to you (passenger and/or cargo space, handling, etc)?

Is the passenger space really that different? I feel like the back seat if the X5 isn't all that much bigger than the 5 series.
