Is Alpine White too flashy?

I'm about to order an E90 and I was thinking of Alpine White. But a friend of mine said it might be too flashy. I know white is a bright colour (or shade), but is it so flashy that it might attract theives?

No.

IMO one of the appeals of AW is that it is simple and plain. Part of the burden of being a BMW owner is having to deal with folks thinking you are trying to advertise status. AW is probably the least ostentatious color. And I think it looks great, especially on the 330i with 162s. Check out the nice photos that Bigfoot posted of his car.

Even though I got black... I think the white is awsome... especially with the 162s.

This is the first white car I've ever bought. I have typically had dark cars and I get tired of trying to keep them looking clean. So I decided to go light, and requested Arctic, Silver, or White. They found me a white one, so I said OK. I actually love it! I think it has a very tasteful and classy look - especially with a beige interior. And my initial motive has been fulfilled - the car never really seems dirty until I start washing it and see all the dirt coming off.

White is totally classy. I love my black, but sometimes find myself longing for the white.

I know when I go out stealin' I only go for the black cars.

That is how I feel. I love my white but sometimes I think that jet black would of been awesome too. I guess you can't have both. Sigh..

I got jet black but the white looks great too. I don't think it is a loud color--just a classic color. Both the white and the black cars seem to especially demand a good wheel choice, like those available with the sport package. The white looks best with the 162s, which help balance the brightness of the color.

I dont' think AW is flashy at all. If anything, it's a great balance between classy and sporty.

AW is a nice white, i like the crisp, bright white colors. The Mini white, I think it's called pepper white or something isn't very nice. Really dull looking, like it's faded or something.

I agree with onesixeight..I think its classy as well as sporty..

My family got an AW X5 and it has disappointed us...

AW is nice. It was my choice until I saw that the Mystic Blue would be available in the Fall.

I've seen a couple of AW e90's already and it's beautiful. There's also a new 750 AW with beige interior near my work and it looks gorgeous.

I was one of the ones that saw SG and fell for it. If I would have waited longer. I would have gotten AW. Look at my pics on cardomain and look at my Old Corolla. AW is awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMO AW, JB, Silver look the best in the E90 with the 162's
