The Evo for the E92 was $6500 right? And the F82 is $6700 - obviously more development work with fitting valves, etc. I can't wait to hear this with downpipes as it sounds amazing already. Lots of personality depending on how you drive it. It can be loud and awesome with zero drone - and can also be quite civil.

Did everyone forget about all of the complaints about how the stock car sounds? This exhaust fixes that issue entirely. I think it's an engineering masterpiece and I love the tips. I am 100% satisfied with the way this system sounds and that's coming from a V10 M5 (with exhaust) and a SC'd E92 with a full GT4 system. With the Evo on my F82 many people have commented on the fact that it sounds like a DTM car. Can be downright nasty

I will be sharing some short clips that I've recorded within a few days.

You're right the price didn't go up much from previous gen. It was already just ludicrous. Also the EVO system gave much more power gains on the E9x platform because it deleted the primary cats correct? Another $1400 to add downpipes for this to do that.

The exhaust does look amazing! I prefer the BMW perf rear as well, though. Tom, will you have this on your car by Saturday?!

I hear where you're coming from.

With the downpipes though - you could end up with much more significant power gains - especially with a JB4 or a tune - AND a significantly faster car. (~500 WHP)

Just noticed the akra exhaust is much lighter than the MPerf exhaust.

Akra= 25 lbs in weight savings
MPE= 18 lbs in weight savings

This Akra system's very small gains along with most of the other like systems out there will be primarily from the elimination of the secondary cats. The OEM system is literally a straight pipe with the exception of the cats and center straight through resonator.

If anyone likes the sound of the OEM system, a test pipe will net the same gains.

The weight savings from a titanium system is hard to beat, however. We will see what weight savings we could get from SS systems.

Good post. Total shed weight is ~30lbs with catless downpipes from stock system.

Not sure I would consider 7lb 'much' lighter.

Speaking in relative terms of MPE vs Akra, akra saves almost 40% more weight than the MPE which is interesting since both are made of titanium, but like you said 7 lbs isn't that much of a difference in the real world
