still fighting with Halogen to Xenon!

u know...i really feel tired about this topic but I have to post it so that someone can help me...

I switched from halogen to xenon couple months ago and I a am still dealing with the error message but I have another problem...my left side xenon goes out after couple seconds after I start the car. If it is below 45 degrees I get a lot error message and then it goes out but if the tmp. is above 50 deg. it dosen't go out and there is no error after the initial error...

I know its a grounding issue but they both are grouded to that silver bolt where all the ground wires are meeting on the passenger side of engin. Can anyone please tell me what should I do to make sure both of my headlight's are working...I don't care too much about the error message but I cannot drive with one hadlight on...

thanx

My car has been in the shop all of December but I'll let you know if I get anything like that happening when I pick her up tomorrow. Although I don't have an error cuz I put in the proper footwell module, and had the headlights installed by my dealer. But it's still possible.

If you think its a grounding issue, get a basic circuit tester and verify that. You can also use it to identify where the grounding issue is.

Link to Amazon
Your local autoshop will also sell this.

i am havign the exact same problem except my light isn't going out. It just keeps saying that one is out while in actuality it is still running. When it is cold, my car keeps shooting out the error. Does anyone know why the cold would have this effect?

Whats the error light look like for you non idrive guys? My headlights are working but I just got it back from the shop with an error and maybe I'm getting the error as well? My error when I start the car is a yelloe upside down lightbulb looking thing with an exclamation point in it. Is that what your's looks like??

I had the same issue... even after I had the whole car professionally done at the dealer (footwell module, all the wiring, etc.).
They did not find out what was wrong, now it doesn't do it anymore (maybe cause it's colder here now???). They also suggested changing bulbs but I will wait if it does it again or not

Yeah, it was warm this weekend, and I didn't hear the error message at all. So it def has to do with the cold weather. I wonder what it could be!
