Need some advice in stock exhaust sensor

Hey Guys, Today I went to the shop to install my M Performance Exhaust however when the mechanic seen the sensor on the stock exhaust he backed off cause he was afraid removing the sensor would trigger the check engine light the M Performance Exhaust doesn't come with this sensor or plug can you guys give me advice on this situation thank you below I included the picture of the sensor

Those are the valve actuators. Disconnect battery and swap them from stock to upgraded exhaust. At least that is what I did on my Dinan exhaust.

There is a red 7.5 fuse in trunk fuse box you can pull to cut power to the flap. Surprised the mechanic didn't know that was the flap actuator.
Question is, what do they do with the 2 flap motors and wiring in case going back to stock is needed?

The MPE came with a dummy sensor to connect when you disconnect the stock sensor

I'm not trying to bash the shop that was going to do the work, however you might want to use someone else. Hard to believe a competent/skilled exhaust shop wouldn't know what the actuators were.
