All M-Sport G30's here in Ireland have the M badge on the sides at the front. As does the 3 Series.

Note the M-Sport package has the "M" logo on the door sills, wheels, steering wheel. instrument display etc. Putting on an "M" badge on an M-Sport car is no big deal. The M5 has an "M5" badge. I'd only see an issue if someone was adding an "M5" badge to an M-Sport car. My 2c.

Put the 540 badge back on or debadge it altogether.

Throwing an M550 badge or M badge on trying to make the car something it’s not is tacky and tasteless.

The point is BMW didn’t make an m lite 540 & any right minded BMW guy is just gonna smile & shake their heads when they see that badging.

Surprised that the OP hasn’t fitted a set of ‘m’ tricolour grill slat stripes
