2018 BMW M550i G30 - Boost Problems
HELP!!
I have a 2018 M550i xDrive (56,000 miles). I am drag racing this car with the following Modifications. Someone out here must have run into the same problem(s) I am...I hope:
The car runs 11.5 in the quarter at about 120MPH. My goal is to get the car to the 10 sec range. What happens during the race essentially we are calling for 28 PSI of boost and only see 21 PSI range. Launch Control is used as it should. New Plugs, fresh oil etc. I spare no expense. Why am I not able to get to 28 PSI of Boost? Also, when I drive in Sport Plus around town and I give it hard acceleration in 1st gear, the car goes into Limp mode. I stop the car, shut it off and it starts up fine and I continue to drive. This has also happened in Comfort mode. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Marc |

You got a lot going on there in terms of modifications. Did you do them all at once or sequentially? If sequentially, start with the last mod done when the problems started.
When you have modified from stock that much, limp mode is going to be really hard to diagnose. Limp mode is to protect the car from itself.
