Yeah that would be a good look, a neighbor just picked up a new 3 and it gives it a really distinctive different look.
Meh I kind of do t like the new 3er lights... I think the design is yet to develop.... to each his own...

Yeh that looks ok in my book.

I know there has been a lot of talk about the size of the 7lci grills but I had a thought the other day when looking at an S class in that the grill on that looks to be bigger than the 7 and no one seems to complaining about that!

Back to the 5 , yeh looks ok to me assume those are the laser lights on these shots?

I see what you mean. Those new Series 3 headlights do not really do much for me either, however, that novelty would not be a deal breaker in my books if it also were to surface on the new 5s. Unfortunately, BMW sometimes have a hard time leaving good enough alone. Yet, as we've been witnessing lately, things could be much much worse in the styling department.....yes, I am referring to those monstrous kidney grilles and front bumper cover air scoops and baffles.

I was hoping for LCI 7er style treatment as find the 5er a bit meh visually and the 545e looks an appealing drive train.

love the rear. I think if they keep the front similar and change to the newer headlights, will be a winner!

I thought the aim of the huge LCI on the 7er was to differentiate it from the 5er, and I do NOT see how this will be accomplished if the 5er looks like this

Looks ok to me but prefer current. Wouldn't put me off buying one but that grill really can't get any bigger , that's right at the limit in my book.

If the 4 series concept is anything to go by these might be the last generation that have 2 kidneys rather than one joined large one.

Like the front lights though - I do think bmw have lost their identity though with their lights, in the past you could tell if it was a bmw behind you at night, not so obvious now

Maybe most of their attention in on the coming wave of Hybrids and electrics?

It would be great if we could get updated dash form like in the new 3 series (G20) and 8 series. Much more modern and sleek

for LCI you can definitely count on that, I don't even know why they bothered with iDrive 7 lite in 2020...

Saw this G31 whilst in Italy last week. Can't see much difference to current Generation.

Not sure if it is LCI or not?

Sorry bud but the G20 and X5 dashboards look and feel cheap compared to the G30. The G30 interior is quality, sleek and feels fantastic to the touch. No comparison.

For the G20, its cheaper feeling because, well... its a cheaper vehicle, that's how its always been. Although I'm surprised you find the new X5's interior to feel cheap. I really like the new G05/6 interior, the leather on the dash and door tops is nice and has great stitching and is nice and smooth especially in merino form, and seems pretty much equivalent to the G30 in terms of materials, just has a newer overall design.

I am not particularly fond of the membrane plastic buttons in the center console. Nitpicks I now but...
