Testing the water and you dropped the price in only a few days?!? Just kidding, GLWTS. A few more grand and you'll get some bites. Unfortunately the ceramic and PPF don't translate into a higher price.

Ehh I'm in no rush. If it goes for close to asking price I'll get rid of it. If not, it's okay

You should've seen my E90. For a 13 year old car, it looked brand new.

I ceramic coated the E90 myself. The 540, I got done

Kbb is overvalued. CPO ‘19 with 20k miles is around $47-48k right now. Glws, but you most likely won’t find a buyer here.

A much better indicator of what they are fetching is to go onto BMW USA and search nationwide on certified inventory for the same car.

That is true. But, online pricing doesn't add any dealer/other fees add ons

This dealer asking MSRP(or close to MSRP)

A similar car like mine sells at the auction for $48k+. Dealers out here price cars low then slap a $5k+ "Protection package" that raises the cars price. When I brought my 540, when I started looking for a 540 a few months back, I got a quote from one BMW dealership that had their 540 priced $3k below KBB. In the quote, they were adding $7k worth of B.S. $1,995 for low jack, $2,995 for CPO, and $1,995 for a "Ceramic coating". I think I am priced fair compared to what a lot of other dealers are asking. At least the ceramic coating on my cars has been done. A lot of dealers just put a spray wax on their cars and call it "Ceramic Coating". Ask me how I know

All those are “dealer” add-on can be refused. You seem to have a misconception of how this works and just bought the car think you’ll turn a profit in this market.

I work for a dealer. So, I know how those add-ons work. There are a lot of dealers in my area that won't sell the car unless you take the add-ons. They'll reduce the cost of the add-ons but won't completely take it off.

Motorwerks Auto Group in Barrington, IL does Zurich shield. They charge $3995 for that. If you don't want it, you won't get the car. Simple. Mcgrath Honda in Elgin does the same thing. Hopkins Ford does the same thing. Huntley Ford does the same thing. Zeigler Auto Group does the same thing. I can keep going.

Like I said before, the same car as mine is selling at auctions for $48k+. If you got an auction license, go ahead and buy one at the auction. NADA guides is pricing mines at $56k.

I attached a quote I got from BMW of Orland Park when I was looking for a 340. I called the sales manager at the dealership at told him I would buy the car at $42,677+TTL. He said he can't take the LO-Jack off of the Exterior and interior protection since it is already applied to the car. Sat on the phone for 45 min going back and forth with the guy, Didn't want to take it off that's fine. He reduced the cost down to $1,500 that's it

Those add on items get taken off. I got to msrp really fast and won’t pay msrp so I bought out my lease.

You are justifying your price to the point it’s making it hard to sell here.

Something has to be of value to the buyer not the seller.

Present and the market forces will decide.

Are you buying something new from a dealer? You are better off selling it to the dealership (trading it in) and getting the tax credit. That's what I'm doing with mine. In Illinois they had a cap on the credit, but removed it for 2022.
