I don’t know about brittle windows, but it’s summer time at the top of the Mississippi River Delta land and I assure you, there is LESS heat inside my tinted vehicle.

Visibility is all relative to which shade of tint you get, obviously.

If you follow your state rules on tinting, there is no legal issue. Decreased visibility maybe an issue at nightime with very dark tint…..choose wisely. It can be harder to get a clear view when looking out your window at night.
I’ve never seen any issues with window brittleness, discoloration or a reduction in window lifespan. Been using ceramic window tint for over 15 years without any of those issues.

Random question, but did you get that rear spoiler aftermarket? Been looking everywhere for a similar one in alpine white.

I have 20% ceramic all around on mine. I have had 20% on all my cars and never once have I had problems with police. (Probably just jinxed it) I have the sunshades in the back that I leave up all the time to make it look even darker in the rear. I also have a black interior so it looks great from the outside. I have had no problems at night especially with all the safety features the car has. (Reversing, parking at night)

Here some day and night time pics of my tint. 15% all around and 5% in rear.

Also keep in mind that the day time pics are taken in direct bright ass AZ sun. The tint looks very dark in person and does a great job helping keep the cabin cool in one of the hottest possible climates. At night it’s very dark, very close to limo tint. You can see inside but you’d have to be up really close.

Ah now I have tint envy! I had mine shipped from AZ and looking at yours I’m sire it had 15% ceramic all around sans windshield.

MD made me remove all tint to pass inspection though and I ended up doing 20% all around 40% windshield both ceramic.

Might need to go back now and get 15 though since inspection is one and done!

No issues with police or safety features in either form btw for OP.

Gas station and rear photos 15%
Other photos show 20%

That sucks. Az is kinda the Wild West so I’ve never had any issues. I think we only have restrictions on windshield tint and that’s all.

Overall I’m very happy with my tint darkness and UV blocking capabilities. It’s 115-120 degrees outside everyday in the summer out here and it helped keep my cool and shaded.

Maybe worth noting that I threw some tint on my side front reflectors and rear diffuser reflectors.

Front reflectors: to achieve that “black out effect” mostly due to the fact that I have a custom wrap and wouldn’t be able to order the paint matched reflector covers.

Diffuser reflectors: why not…was hanging at a buddies wrap shop and had him toss them on for the hell of it.

Considering doing a smoke on the taillights / headlights but still undecided at the moment if I want to do this.

The darker the tint, the better it looks in daylight. I’m 50% on front windows, 35% on rear and back window.
State (Ohio) law allows darker on front.
One thing to think about is night time driving. The darker the tint, the harder night time visibility may be especially when viewing through the side tinted windows.
