Strictly speaking, yes - all they're saying is that the weight reduction doesn't exceed 140kg, and indeed 110lbs (50kg) is less than 140kg

The weight figures I quoted for the F10 535i and G30 540i are from the BMW spec sheets for these cars.

The G30 is an even larger car, and only a little lighter than the F10, so it's still a bloated car. Not sure what you mean by sloppiness - the F10 isn't sloppy either. Anyway, you don't buy these cars for great handling; for what you deal with on public roads, they do very well.
lol, I have always bought my previous 5ers for the handling. my e60s were great handling cars. the f10 not as much. I wouldn't call it a pig by any means, but compared to the e60? it's not even close

Media releases I have say "up to 100kg".

Something like the UK 520d & 530d standard specification seem to be showing about 80kg weight saving, under the EU unladen weight standard.

Strange. I have an E60 and I find it's handling to be less precise and more bloated than an F10 I sometimes drive too. At least in the 535xi trim I drive in the E60. It feels like a beast compared to my wife's MB C300 -- and not in a good way. Love the luxury, just want more sportiness (which I think the F10 can bring in certain trim levels).

Looking forward to driving an G30 -- 540i -- to see if it's everything the review claim. But waiting to see what changes MY2018 brings....

Do I see a traditional turn signal light bulb in the standard headlights? Wow, what a pity
