I think it is a great commercial. This is what Cadillac should be advertising itself to be. A brand that people desire to buy from, not the value crap they used to do. Luxury isn't about value, it's about prestige, exclusivity, etc.

While I disagree with it philosophically, it is what Cadillac needs to do right now.

I love it. And I agree with the earlier idea that luxury brand should appeal to the emotion of wanting something. The most basic definition of "luxury" is something that you can do without, but you WANT it. The patriotism piece intertwined in the commercial was cleverly done. It wasn't the usual pitch of buy American because we used to make great cars and we are doing it again. It was buy this car because this car because you bust your ass and you deserve it.

Wow, I exepected different opinions. This is good. I really like the commerical too. A bit brash, but bold too. I really liked the part about we left the car on the moon with the keys in it because we are going back.
