I have taken delivery of my G30 and the only time I found it useful was when some a** parked so close to my car, I used remote parking to drive the car out. was quite a spectacle though. quite a few ppl at the carpark had their mouths gaping when the car moved out of the lot itself LOL!

I just picked up my 2019 M550 on December 21, 2018 and it came with just the display key and one standard key.

BMW changed it for the MY19 5 series.If you order the display key now you only get the display key and one normal key,not two.Its basically a rip off because if you order the car without the display key,you still get two of the standard keys.

I use it daily without any protective covers. No scratches at all after a year.

That is a good question. I have a 2022 M550i on order and I did get the parking assistant package with 3D view etc. but nowhere in the specs does it say Display Key is included. I will have to go back to dealer build sheet to see if it says it there. Otherwise I guess I will find out when it arrives.

"Parking assistant" is not the same as "Remote Control Parking". Display key comes with remote control parking.

Hmm ok then which package does remote control parking come with? I have every option package on my 2022 other than massage seats. Maybe its no longer offered?

I find the display key great it's my go to option and have a carbon case on it for protection.

Reason it's so handy in my case is my house front door and alarm system are controlled via my phone and I use Apple Pay on the watch or phone to pay for everything.

So I carry my phone and the display key only.

I do wish the phone could control the car access and starting per the LCI version which I believe can do this as it would be the phone only for me all day long.

Regards work keys I have a neck lanyard I wear and it then gets dropped in the car after work so I never have bulky pockets which was the plan.

It is a separate ($850) option, not part of a package, at least on G12. It is in the on line configurator for 2022.

I don't use mine , it's still has the plastic film on it from new over 4 years ago now and sitting in a cupboard , taken out occassionalnto charge
